Yrd. Doç. Dr. Banu Uysal
Endodontics Specialist (Assoc. Prof. Dr.)
Born in 1977 in İzmir. She completed primary school in İzmir and middle and high school in Ankara. She graduated from Gazi University Faculty of Dentistry in 1999. She worked at State Hospitals and Oral and Dental Health Centers until 2010.
In 2010 she began her doctoral studies at the Erciyes University Institute of Health Sciences, Department of Dental Diseases and Treatment. In 2014 she completed her PhD titled "Evaluation of the Effect of Three Different NiTi Root Canal Shaping Systems on Root Canal Anatomy Using Micro-Computed Tomography."
Until 2016 she worked as an assistant professor in the Endodontics Department of İzmir Katip Çelebi University Faculty of Dentistry. She supervised doctoral and specialist students and taught courses on pulpal diseases, periapical tissue diseases, root canal irrigation, pulp histology, and diagnosis and treatment planning in endodontics.
After working as an endodontics specialist at private oral and dental health clinics in 2018-2019, Banu Uysal continues her professional career at the private Smile İzmir Oral and Dental Health Clinic. She has extensive experience using an operating microscope.
